Telespazio VEGA has been supporting the European Space Industry for over 30 years, including ESA, DLR, CNES and EUMETSAT. This is an opportunity for an experienced Engineer to work in the domain of satellite ground segment ground station operations preparations. This position is based in Germany, Darmstadt. Data Processing Engineer mf J2658 Responsibilities Duties The tasks of the Engineer will include the following Support customer on site in areas including Data Processing, Instrument Calibration, product data quality assessment Integration of Product Processing Facilities Validation of Product Processing Facilities Investigation and resolution of product processing anomalies Monitor development of systems through to maintenance Qualifications Essential Skills University degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline such as computer science, physics, mathematics or remote sensing Several years of experience of operational processing of scientific or engineering data Knowledge of end to end data acquisition and processing Desirable Skills Knowledge of Low Earth Orbiting LEO satellites and ground systems Data formats such as netCDF and HDF WorkplaceLocation On customer side in Darmstadt Germany Benefits Competitive salary plus a comprehensive benefits package including 30 days holiday, generous training possibilities, Telespazio VEGA pension scheme is offered to the successful candidate.
