We are currently looking for a Data Processing System Engineer to support our customer in Germany. Data Processing System Engineer EO Key Tasks and Responsibilities As part of the Sentinel 3 operations team, you will have the following responsibilities Maintenance of DFEP and L0 processing systems Systems engineering for the Sentinel3 Marine Payload Data Ground Segment Support to the day to day operation and maintenance Analyse and testing of the facilities including the handling of anomalies, design of upgrades and configuration changes Integrating the individual SW Facilities into a data processing system, covering all aspects of system integration and testing, including endtoend testing of the production system Settingup and implementation of maintenance policies and procedures as well as the coordination with external providers of maintenance services Participation in the specification and development of specific monitoring tools for S3. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience Several years of experience in maintaining and engineering of evolutions of large scale software systems space missioninstrument data processing and specially related to DFEP and L0 processing for satellite EO data Experience in software development lifecycles Software debugging and profiling tools e.g. GDB, DBX, IBM Purify, Valgrind Source code control systems, preferably Subversion and CVS Software testing, unit test suite maintenance, automated testing, verification and validation Experience with DFEP processors as used by S3 and L0 processing within a framework based solution PDGS for S3 Networking technologies and tools CCSDS protocols, Space Data Link Protocols, TCPIP, UDP multicast, PGM, FTP, Wireshark, CCJava programming language experience in a UNIXLinux based environment and knowledge of Scripting languages Python, Perl, TclTk, shell Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
