Deputy Simulations Officer

Our client is seeking a Simulations Officer to help develop training concepts and the associated Simulation Plan to train the Mission Control team, in preparation for the launch or other critical phases of a mission. The Simulation Officer will be responsible for planning and developing failure cases of increasing difficulty to be introduced into the simulation, in order to train the Mission Control Team in nonnominal operations and application of mission rules. The successful candidate will have Good spacecraft knowledge on a subsystem level, experience in working in an operational environment, the ability to understand and accurately predict behaviour of complex systems, be familiar with operational training and operational simulators ideally SimSat, familiarity with satellite control systems ideally SCOS2000 and familiarity with programmingscripting languages e.g C, Java, JavaScript. All applicants must be a proactive selfstarter with the ability to work independently with little or no supervision. Good English communication skills, both verbal and written are essential along with a degree in Engineering or Physics. Experience in operational training and instructional design methodologies along with experience with prelaunch activities and launch campaigns is desirable but not essential.
