For our activities in EUMETSAT, we are currently looking for a Dissemination Software Engineer. Tasks and Responsibilities The Dissemination Software Engineer shall provide support to the development and maintenance of the Data Services systems. The duties range from gathering requirements, design, implementation, testing, and configuration of EUMETSAT developed dissemination software and related commercial off the shelf software COTS throughout the entire software life cycle including review of similar software. Requirements Apart from a relevant university degree, the key person should have the following background Provision of first line maintenance support for operational systems, Operations and maintenance of data disseminationdistributiontransfer systems in a 247 operational environment. Software development, verificationvalidation and maintenance, using a formal life cycle Software Engineering with extensive experience in designing and developing software components and applications in the Java and CC programming language under Unix Linux, AIX, Sun Solaris using Object Oriented OO approach.
