HE Space is a successful international space company. For over 30 years, we have been supporting our customers with qualified experts in the field of engineering, science and administration. We are currently looking for a EDRS Operations Engineer and Technical Procurement Support to support our customer in Germany. EDRS Operations Engineer and Technical Procurement Support Key Tasks and Responsibilities You will support the Operations Engineering Team on technical aspects related to the procurement of operations productsand have the following responsibilities Review of operations products delivered by spacecraft suppliers, e.g. User Manuals Satellite Reference Database Procedures for Flight Operations Satellite Simulator Ground Software Requirements Acceptance of delivered products on basis of compliance to its technical requirements and its qualification status Supervision of ground software implementation and verification performed by payload control centre team DLR based on inputs from spacecraft supplier Support to operational readiness review Support to LEOP and IOT activities Support to user commissioning and final acceptance Technical assessment of nonconformances, discrepancies and waivers Coordination with EDRS system engineering and procurement Support of the EDRS quality management process Support of the EDRS program management. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University Degree in Aerospace Engineering or similar with knowledge of the aerospace environment Several years of professional experience with communication payloads Profound knowledge of space system operations Experience with modern software tools and techniques including databases, XML, Python, Java or other scripting languages Experience with Unix and Windows based operating systems Experience with ESA and ESA standards Basic knowledge in flight dynamics attitude and orbit is an advantage Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of German language is an advantage.
