Position Reference 003 RHEA Group is currently recruiting an EGNOS User Segment Engineer to support standardisation activities in the field other market segments than aviation maritime, rail, road, etc.. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Support the standardisation of SBAS services and SBAS receivers for other uses than aviation Contribute to write the service provision concepts with the user community, defining typical operational goals for the service, then determine and validate user segments requirements e.g. Receivers minimum operational performance specifications, or similar Contribute to the service engineering for other market segments than aviation maritime, rail, road, etc., notably by defining activities required to standardise the service, the system andor user receivers e.g. testbed, test user receiver, pilot project Support the EGNOS Standardisation Engineer in the standardisation of SBAS receivers within the standardisation fora of the different user communities, organising and managing the production of the deliverables and contributing to their edition Support the EGNOS Standardisation Engineer in liaising with the stakeholders which contribute to standardisation of EGNOS Services, notably by preparing publications, presentations and writing minutes of meetings Support the supervision of activities outsourced by the Service Engineering team for DFMC User Segment projects Contribute to writing technical specifications of GSA prototyping projects for maritime, rail, road and other market segment if need be Provide technical expertise for project reviews of receiver prototypes Contribute to preparing Technical Specifications for GSAs standardisation activities Procurement and Grants Contribute to other tasks of the EGNOS Service Engineering team, as necessary. Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory You have a Masters Degree in the relevant discipline You have at least 5 years of relevant professional experience You have experience in developing user segment equipment, either in navigation or telecommunications You are able to write clear, precise and concise documents in fluent English Note to RHEA a language certificate at C2 level is required for the position, should English not be the candidates mother tongue You have experience in supervising outsourced activities in an international environment The following skills would be highly desirable You have experience in defining technical requirements from potential users for future services within a regulated environment You have experience in developing GNSS receivers up to commercialisation You have experience leading a standardisation group of technical experts in an international forum You have experience in developing user segment equipment for transport safety maritime, road, rail or aviation You have indepth knowledge of either the maritime, road or rail communities, with an established network of technical contacts in the field How to Apply Looking to take your career to the next level?
