Environmental conditions are not expected to be favorable for significant development as the system moves westward at about 10 mph. * Formation chance through 48 hours...low...20 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...low...20 percent. A trough of low pressure located a few hundred miles south of the southern coast of Mexico is producing disorganized showers and thunderstorms. Environmental conditions are expected to be conducive for development and a tropical depression is likely to form later this week while the system moves slowly northwestward. * Formation chance through 48 hours...low...20 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...high...70 percent. Another area of low pressure is expected to form well south of the Baja California peninsula by the middle of this week.
