000 ABPZ20 KNHC 070504 TWOEP Tropical Weather Outlook NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL 1100 PM PDT Wed Jun 6 2018 For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude: The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Tropical Storm Aletta located several hundred miles southwest of Manzanillo Mexico. An area of disorganized showers and thunderstorm centered a few hundred miles south-southeast of the Gulf of Tehuantepec is associated with a tropical wave. Upper-level winds are forecast to become more conducive for development during the next couple of days, and a tropical depression is likely to form over the weekend while the system moves westward to west-northwestward off the coast of southern Mexico. * Formation chance through 48 hours...low...30 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...high...90 percent. $$ Forecaster Avila
