000 ABPZ20 KNHC 081723 TWOEP Tropical Weather Outlook NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL 1100 AM PDT Fri Jun 8 2018 For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude: The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Hurricane Aletta located several hundred miles west-southwest of Manzanillo Mexico. A low pressure system located a few hundred miles south-southwest of the Gulf of Tehuantepec is showing signs organization, and the associated shower and thunderstorm activity has continued to increase this morning. Environmental conditions are forecast to be favorable for development throughout the next several days and a tropical depression or tropical storm is expected to form over the weekend while the system moves westward to west-northwestward off the coast of southern Mexico. * Formation chance through 48 hours...high...90 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...high...90 percent. $$ Forecaster Zelinsky
