000 ABPZ20 KNHC 261135 TWOEP Tropical Weather Outlook NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL 500 AM PDT Tue Jun 26 2018 For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude: The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Tropical Depression Daniel, located several hundred miles west-southwest of the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula. Shower and thunderstorm activity associated with a broad low pressure area located about 600 miles south of Acapulco, Mexico, has again changed little over the past several hours. However, environmental conditions are expected to gradually become more conducive for development, and a tropical depression is expected to form within the next couple of days while the system moves generally west-northwestward, well south of the coast of Mexico. * Formation chance through 48 hours...high...70 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...high...90 percent. A tropical wave located over Nicaragua and Costa Rica is expected to move into the eastern Pacific by tonight.
