000 ABPZ20 KNHC 282316 TWOEP Tropical Weather Outlook NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL 500 PM PDT Thu Jun 28 2018 For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude: The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Tropical Storm Emilia, located several hundred miles south-southwest of the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula. A broad area of low pressure is producing widespread showers and thunderstorms several hundred miles south-southeast of Acapulco, Mexico. Environmental conditions are forecast to be conducive for development over the next several days, and a tropical depression is expected to form over the weekend, well south of the coast of Mexico. * Formation chance through 48 hours...medium...60 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...high...90 percent. A tropical wave is forecast to move over the far eastern Pacific by Saturday.
