000 ABPZ20 KNHC 181128 TWOEP Tropical Weather Outlook NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL 500 AM PDT Thu Oct 18 2018 For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude: Showers and thunderstorms associated with an area of low pressure located south of the Gulf of Tehuantepec have changed little in organization overnight. However, environmental conditions appear conducive for development once the system moves west of the Gulf of Tehuantepec, and a tropical depression or tropical storm is likely to form during the next day or two. The low is forecast to move generally west-northwestward at 10 to 15 mph for the next several days, near or just offshore the coast of southern Mexico. An elongated area of low pressure located about 1000 miles south-southwest of the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula is producing only limited shower activity.
