000 ABPZ20 KNHC 160545 TWOEP Tropical Weather Outlook NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL 1100 PM PDT Sun Sep 15 2019 For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude: The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Hurricane Kiko, located nearly 1000 miles west-southwest of the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula. Showers and thunderstorms have increased tonight in association with an area of low pressure centered several hundred miles south-southwest of Manzanillo, Mexico. Conditions are conducive for additional development, and a tropical depression could form within the next two to three days. After mid week, this system is likely to interact or merge with the disturbance to its east, and further development after that time is not anticipated. * Formation chance through 48 hours...medium...40 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...medium...50 percent. A large area of disorganized cloudiness and showers centered a few hundred miles south-southwest of the Gulf of Tehuantepec is associated with a tropical wave.
