000 ABPZ20 KNHC 290501 TWOEP Tropical Weather Outlook NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL 1100 PM PDT Thu May 28 2020 For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude: A trough of low pressure located a couple of hundred miles south of the coasts of Central America and southern Mexico continues to produce disorganized showers and thunderstorms. Although this system is still poorly organized, environmental conditions appear conducive for gradual development and a tropical depression could form this weekend. This disturbance is expected to move slowly northward toward Central America and southern Mexico during the next few days. Regardless of development, this system is expected to produce heavy rainfall over portions of Central America and southern Mexico this weekend and early next week. These rains could cause life-threatening flash floods and mudslides, especially in areas of mountainous terrain.
