000 ABPZ20 KNHC 090251 TWOEP Special Tropical Weather Outlook NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL 755 PM PDT Sat May 8 2021 For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude: Special Tropical Weather Outlook issued for an area of disturbed weather southwest of Mexico. Satellite images indicate that showers and thunderstorms associated with the low pressure system located several hundred miles southwest of the southern coast of Mexico continue to show signs of organization. Conditions are currently conducive for further development, and any increase in organization could lead to the formation of a short-lived tropical depression or tropical storm later tonight or on Sunday. By Monday, environmental conditions are expected to become less favorable as the system moves west-northwestward to northwestward. * Formation chance through 48 hours...high...80 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...high...80 percent.
