000 ABPZ20 KNHC 152313 TWOEP Tropical Weather Outlook NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL 500 PM PDT Thu Jul 15 2021 For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude: The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Hurricane Felicia, located over 800 miles southwest of the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula. A broad area of low pressure located several hundred miles south of the coast of southern Mexico is producing a large area of disorganized showers and thunderstorms. Environmental conditions are expected to remain conducive for gradual development during the next several days, and a tropical depression is likely to form this weekend and move westward or west-northwestward at around 15 mph, a few hundred miles offshore of the southwestern coast of Mexico. * Formation chance through 48 hours...medium...60 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...high...90 percent. $$ Forecaster Reinhart/Blake
