000 ABPZ20 KNHC 161729 TWOEP Tropical Weather Outlook NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL 1100 AM PDT Fri Jul 16 2021 For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude: The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Hurricane Felicia, located almost 1000 miles west-southwest of the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula. A broad low pressure system located a few hundred miles south of the coast of southwestern Mexico is producing a large area of disorganized showers and thunderstorms. Environmental conditions are expected to be conducive for gradual development during the next several days, and a tropical depression is likely to form within the next couple of days and move west-northwestward to westward at around 15 mph, a few hundred miles offshore of the southwestern coast of Mexico. * Formation chance through 48 hours...high..90 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...high...90 percent. $$ Forecaster Stewart
