000 ABPZ20 KNHC 091738 TWOEP Tropical Weather Outlook NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL 1100 AM PDT Sat Oct 9 2021 For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude: Showers and thunderstorms associated with a broad area of low pressure located a few hundred miles south of the southern coast of Mexico have been increasing in coverage today but remain disorganized. Environmental conditions are forecast to be conducive for additional development, and a tropical depression or tropical storm is expected to form within the next day or two while the system moves west-northwestward at about 15 mph south of the coast of Mexico.
