000 ABPZ20 KNHC 192328 TWOEP Tropical Weather Outlook NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL 500 PM PDT Tue Oct 19 2021 For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude: A broad area of disturbed weather located a few hundred miles south of the coasts of Guatemala and El Salvador continues to produce widely scattered showers and thunderstorms. Environmental conditions are expected to be conducive for gradual development of this system during the next several days, and a tropical depression is likely to form by late this week or this weekend while the system moves west-northwestward to northwestward near or just off the coast of southern Mexico. * Formation chance through 48 hours...low...10 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...high...70 percent. $$ Forecaster Papin
