A vacancy for an Electrical Engineer for Orbital Propulsion System Development mf has arisen within Airbus Defence Space in Lampoldshausen. The successful applicant will join System and Product Engineering. Your main tasks and responsibilities will include Acting as focal point for all issues in the Propulsion Electrical Engineering department Being responsible technical authority for the development of new electronic and electrical interfaces according to an industrial point of view for orbital drive systems from their initial design up to their qualification and during production Being responsible for the definition to the verification and qualification of the interface of an electrical drive system between the engine and the electrical control unit, being the contact person for subcontractors and partners within this area of responsibilities including preparing calls for tender and assessment Preparing, analysing, selecting and optimising technical solutions, producing specifications, documentation for project milestones, taking part in reviews Creating development and qualification plans for upper areas of responsibilities Coordinating with other engineering disciplines mechanical, thermal, modelling, design and layout, manufacturing, integration, tests project management and quality controls Supporting the planning, definition and evaluation of ground test of electrical drive systemsequipment and planning and supporting EMCESD test, contributing to the definition of test equipment for electrical drives We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience Educated to degree level in Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering or equivalent Experience in developing electronics for space applications Experience in EMC analysis and tests Good knowledge of power or control electronics Knowledge in the area of chemical and electrical propulsion systems Good knowledge of MS Office Synthesising skills in order to compile texts and reports Openmindedness and ability to work in a team Structured and diligent way of working Good communication skills Negotiation level of English and advanced German skills Please apply online for this vacancy at our careers site www.jobs.airbusgroup.com with your CV attached.
