Engineer, IT Systems Luxembourg Betzdorf You will be responsible for the evaluation, design, analysis, implementation and documentation of Hardware and Software projects within SES and affiliated companies, as well as for IT project support within the organization and for customer related projects. Key responsibilities Study, learn and understand all elements of the Ground Systems Engineering GSE IT infrastructure at SES, including the related policies and procedures Design, Review, harden Operational Active Directory domain and create policies and the GPOs required to comply with STIGDISM requirements Review the procedures and documentation in place for GSE and suggest improvements Determine the backup restore requirements for the various servers, clients, databases, etc. in CSM design and implement a new backup solution Deal with any Help Tickets assigned to IT Systems, primarily related to GSE Assist management with the setup of the new GSE support bring ideas, improvement points, automatization ideas, provide crosstraining Provide support to internal and external customers for clarification of technical matters Implement an effective onboardingoff boarding procedure for GSE accounts Review, document, maintain and update all BCP processes Provide continuously input to the Senior Manager, Global IT Systems to improve systems and services Project Management from budget setup via procurement control to handover and documentation for the implementation of any required project using exist PMM Provide inputs to the Manager, Global IT Systems, for administrative and management tasks, participate actively in team meetings Provide general engineering support to other sections in the operational, engineering, sales and business development area Support all IT related project tasks as assigned by the Senior Manager IT Systems provide effective 2nd3rd Level Support Help with the implementation of LTDB long term databases for Monics Provide effective support to users upon request and deliver professional message and communications according to SESIT standards Provide deliverables according to timelines fixed in project plans Provide necessary input for annual budgets in time Liaise with equipment suppliers and recommend cost effective solutions and ongoing maintenance arrangements Act as the interface between the executing party GSY and the internal and external customers Competencies Service and customer oriented Able to understand all stakeholders in the service delivery process Process oriented with skills in documentation and workflows Demonstrates sound analytical skills and an innovative mindset Excellent project management skills, able to coordinate and prioritise tasks effectively Maintains excellent vendor relation skills Able to problemsolve, provide practical solutions and demonstrates critical tasktactical related decisionmaking Qualifications Experience Minimum 35 years of relevant professional experience Proven experience in Project Management Methodology Additionally, proven experience in IT Process Methodology ITIL, COBIT documentation and use of all solutions in Microsoft Office Suite scripting monitoring tools servers management, administration, troubleshooting and deployment preferably HP Hardware virtualization technologies Citrix, VmWare, Datacore certification is an asset SAN technologies Windows environments and Systems Microsoft Active Directory management certification is an asset Demonstrates good knowledge of backup technologies Fluency in English any other language being an asset Stays uptodate with stateoftheart virtualization concepts and technologies Willingness to travel and communicate with international customers Whats in it for you?
