Engineer, Software Systems Luxembourg Betzdorf As a member of the Software Engineering staff you are responsible for specification, design, development and support of software applications. You will also be accountable for computer hardware used for realtime spacecraft control and management as well as offline tools to support engineering analysis. Oncall remote support is required. Your reponsibilities Work with an experienced team using Agile methodologies Develop highquality software requirements user stories, designs and architectures for the Ground Control System Define and build APIs for a layered architecture Perform peer reviews, integration testing, and validation during the software development lifecycle Automate the development cycle via continuous integration Work with external vendors and internal operations staff to provide technical expertise Communicate progress and problems to management, estimate and lead project work schedules Help automate software deployment and maintain application software lifecycle. Configure, deploy and maintain software, workstations, servers and computing infrastructure at each of the geographically diverse operation centers. Provide operational support to the end users, responding to operational issues, due to software and hardware anomalies, troubleshooting, restoring nominal operations, and documenting any software development changes required. Your qualifications experience Fluency at one of the following programming languages C, C, Java and experience with Python and Agile Methodologies and Linux Proficient level regarding objectoriented design OOD Single responsibility principle Dependency injection Designcode to interfaces Minimum of 5 years software engineering experience Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining a Command and Control system Understanding of GIT andor BitBucket Knowledge of SQL MySQL, MS SQL Server Experience with Integrated Development Environment IDE ie Eclipse, Visual Studio, etc Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience Fluency in spoken and written English with additional languages considered an asset Other key requirements comments Ability to set priorities and dependable with delivering on time Work with minimal supervision as well as in a collaborative environment Great interpersonal skills Eager to help others to succeedmentoring Willingness to work around a 24x7 environment Domestic and international travel required For US based positions must be US Citizen or Green Card Holder Whats in it for you?
