We provide extensive satellite coverage of all of the worlds seas and ocean regions via our dedicated mobility beams We distribute 7,400 channels to more than 1 billion people in 317 million homes We work together with our partners to develop new standards that transform how people consume and enjoy entertainment Engineer, Spectrum Management Development GB Isle of Man Your Job Reporting to the VP, Satellite Project Oversight, as Engineer, Spectrum Management Development, you will assist in securing, maintaining and advancing the companys interests in interference free use of spectrum. Participating in ITU and regionalnational meetings to ensure that the companys interest is secured in relation to spectrum utilization and domestic policy proceedings, you will support the identification of potential new spectrum for expansion capability of the companys space and terrestrial infrastructure and assist in relationship management with the Isle of Man Government, OFCOM ITU as well as regional regulatory authorities officially representing SES when required. Your Responsibilities Obtainprotect newexisting spectrum Influence ITU spectrum allocations and satellite coordination procedures Support Business Development with technical due diligence activities Support spectrum coordination Development of technical papersstudies and ITU filings Support licensing of satellites and earth stations Your Profile A Bachelors or Masters degree in Satellite, Telecommunications, or ElectronicElectrical Engineering or equivalent At least 2 years experience in radio frequency system design or regulation, radio, microwave or telecommunications industries Knowledge of the ITU Radio Regulations and Regional Regulations An understanding on satellite technologies and applications Have an understanding of orbital mechanics and how to model and simulate the flight paths of space objects Fluency in written and oral English are required, working knowledge of other languages would be an asset Working knowledge of a programming language eg. Python or Matlab Flexibility to travel up to 50 A willingness to relocate to the Isle of Man, where the post will be based We offer you A diverse workplace.
