Package description Full details on application The position is a permanent contract. Main responsibilities For our activities in ESRIN, we are currently looking for a Support Engineer to Operations. The main activities will include Support the overall endtoend processes for ESA Live Missions, ESA Heritage Missions, ESA Third Party Missions Support to PDGS components Transfer To Operations activities IncidentProblem Management ChangeRelease Management Software Integration validation activities Software Installation and operational verification Data Transformation i.e. conversion to standard satellite formats Data Format validation Data Dissemination to end users Ideal candidate The ideal Candidate should have the following skills and experience 5 years of experience in programming and scripting 2 years of experience in ESA infrastructures Preferable ITIL V3 Certification English Certification B1 Technical skills Good knowledge of PHP and Python programming Good knowledge of Java Suite Good knowledge of C Suite C, Boost C libraries Good knowledge of Linux Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu Good Scripting knowledge Bash, cshell ... Good knowledge of Databases MySQL ORACLE PostgreSQL SQL Good Knowledge of ESA ECSS standards Basic Project Planning skills Good English Technical Writing skills Requirements Definition and Analysis Personal Skills Fluent in English Language written and spoken Good communications skills Capacity of working in team Capacity of achieving schedule and milestones Capacity of working under pressure If candidates with equally relevant experience are identified, preference will be given to candidates within Categorie Protette Law 6899 or registered in lista di mobilit only applicable in case of Italian candidates.
