JOB PURPOSE The Enterprise Tool Manager shall provide a system of automated PLM software applications for MCAD PTC Creo and ECAD Orcad CisCadence Alegro data authoring that interface directly with a PDM application PTC Windchill PDM that ultimately drives an ERP system application TBD. The suite of PLM tools shall also interface with planning software applications including MS Project and an APS Orchestrate APS TBD. The current toolset at CDE presents a disparate arrangement of spread sheets, databases and COTS applications that are held together by manual transactions to provide for product lifecycle data management. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Ensure a common toolset and approach to the use of enterprise data management software across the product streams Act as the focal point for any issues pertaining to the enterprise data management applications and associated system of operation Define the processes and transactions associated with the use of enterprise data management tools Interface with the IT department on all aspects of hardwaresoftware required to support enterprise data management Provide management of the current disparate systems of data management across the enterprise including Creo, Windchill PDM, Excel spread sheets, access databases, CAS, Pegasus Operations and Pegasus Opera Produce capital expenditure CapEx business cases that justify the implementation of enterprise tools Complete the Phase 3 implementation of the Windchill PDM tool Extended use across the enterprise, EEE part management, document management and change control Support the Project Manager in the specification and implementation of a planning toolset to include MS Project and Orchestrate APS TBC Specify, procure and implement a common software analysis toolset that supports the product streams Complete the implementation of OrCAD CiS Plan for Phase 4 of the Windchill PDM Implementation ECAD interface Specify, procure and implement an ERP system appropriate for an engineer to order ETO organisation to replace the existing Pegasus Operations tool and disparate Excel spread sheets and databases DESIRED SKILLSEXPERIENCE Essential A good understanding of the high reliability, engineer to order ETO product lifecycle Experience with varied enterprise tools including data authoring MCAD, ECAD and analysis packages, Product Lifecycle Management Requirements Management, PDM, PLM and manufacturingenterprise resource planning MRPERP applications including extended applications CRM, APS and SCM Experience of managing a team in an engineeringoperational environment Desirable Experience in undertaking the implementation of enterprise tools including PLMPDM and ERP in an engineer to order ETO manufacturing context Experience with PTC CREO, PTC Windchill PDM Experience managing product configuration in an engineering environment Educated to HNDDegree level in an operational or engineering discipline Professional Competencies Excellent interpersonal and communication skills written and verbal Excellent soft skills especially communication, influencing, people and relationship management Organizational awareness and sensitivity for cultural differences Excellent analytical abilities and ability to grasp key points from complicated details Result driven and a selfstarter with the ability to work to own initiative A team player and proven delivery record with experience of working with peers and senior management.
