Relocation assistance provided if applicable. Main responsibilities For our activities in ESOC, we are currently looking for a Financial Operations Officer. The following position is offered as a fixedterm contract until 31122018 with a possibility of extension. The ideal candidate will support the ESOC Financial Operations Section, HIFFOC, responsible for analysing, validating and approving all Agency ESA payments to suppliers and carrying out related financial operations. This includes the following tasks and responsibilities Supporting the verification and processing of invoices and Advances in compliance with the Agencys accounting policy, financial regulations, instructions and applicable QMS procedures final invoice validation performed by ESA staff prior to Payment List execution, including formal checks if document is to be considered an invoice and if an eventual VAT amount invoiced is justified correctness of vendor master and bank data for invoices without prior commitment identification of correct account assignment posting of invoices, deblocking after verification against available Advances and validation of payment against Payment Lists posting and approval unblocking of Advance Payment Requests Down Payments in SRMFI control and clearing of Down Payments as per OffsetPlan Responding to invoice queries from industry. Interacting with Initiating Services ESAinternally with the objective to support the synchronization and workflows of invoices and Confirmations. Other ad hoc tasks in the area of accounts payable as per service request. Ideal candidate The successful candidate shall meet the following essential requirements Good knowledge and at least four years experience in Finance, preferably in the area of Accounts Payable Good spoken and written English, fluency of German is an asset Highly numerate, possessing the analytical skills to operate an complex accounting system Good communication skills, customer focus an d and capacity to work under stressful situations High degree of desktop computer literacy in MSOffice products and good knowledge of SAPFI.
