GMES Spacecraft Operations Engineer 1321 We are seeking a GMES Spacecraft Operations Engineer to join the Earth Operations Mission Division working as part of the Sentinel5 Precursor Flight Control Team. The candidate will be required to support the SOM during the prelaunch, LEOP and commissioning phases in the Preparation of the operational products, in particular the Operational DB and the Flight Operations Procedures and timelines SVT preparation and execution Mission Control System Validation Simulator Validation Training and Simulations LEOP, Commissioning and Routine phase preparation and execution Candidates will be expected to have a degree of flexibility and carry out tasks for different subsystems, in particular Power, Thermal and SBand subsystem operations preparation. The key candidate will also be required to assist in the production of the procedures and SVT test cases for other subsystems. The successful candidate may be required to carry out work at the Routine Phase Control Centre located in Madrid. All applicants must have a university degree in engineering or physics along with a good knowledge of spacecraft subsystems. Good English communication skills is essential. Previous professional experience in the space field, in particular operations would be considered an advantage.
