Galileo Algorithm Engineer Deadline for applications 09102020 Job Description For our client we are looking for a Galileo Algorithm Engineer for their location near Munich. The jobholder will contribute to the ongoing development of the next generation of Galileo and EGNOS, Europes satellite navigation systems, in the field of system performance, architecture and algorithm development. HeShe will join the Navigation Department at their site Taufkirchen near Munich. With more than 80 engineers and 20 years of experience it is one of the leading expert groups in Europe for the development and implementation of the European satellite navigation systems EGNOS and Galileo. Tasks and Responsibilities Contribute to the development of system functions for time determination services Management of performance assessment and system modeling Analysis of system requirements and reflection into system design Development of software prototypes to test and tradeoff concepts and algorithms Data processing based on available Airbus evaluation software Application and algorithmic extension of Kalman Filter for parameter estimation. Requirements At least a Master diploma in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Astronomy or Geoinformatics Minimum 3 years of experience in the aerospace industry and with engineering Demonstrated experience in satellite navigation systems, in particular GPS or Galileo, and with parameter determination concepts is required Sound mathematical background for algorithm development is required Detailed knowledge of Python In depth knowledge of Matlab Knowledge with C is preferable Proficient in German and business fluent in English Good overview on satellite navigation system concepts Familiarity in parameter adjustment techniques Understanding of requirements flowdown into system design Ability to work in an international team Communication, networking and teamworking ability Ability to work independently and selfmotivated.
