Contribute to the development of system functions for time determination services Management of performance assessment and system modeling Analysis of system requirements and reflection into system design Development of software prototypes to test and tradeoff concepts and algorithms Data processing based on available Airbus evaluation software Application and algorithmic extension of Kalman Filter for parameter estimation Your profil Masters degree in engineering or similar Work experience in the engineering environment with a good overview on satellite navigation system concepts Demonstrated experience in satellite navigation systems, in particular GPS or Galileo, and with parameter determination concepts is required Sound mathematical background for algorithm development is required Familiarity in parameter adjustment techniques Understanding of requirements flowdown into system design English is at business level, both written and spoken Knowledge of German would be considered as an asset Python at least knowledge of detailed functions Matlab at least indepth application knowledge Knowledge with C is preferrable Ability to work in an international team Communication, networking and teamworking ability Ability to work independently and selfmotivated Are you interested in an outstanding project in the area of satellite navigation? The jobholder will contribute to the ongoing development of the next generation of Galileo and EGNOS, Europes satellite navigation systems, in the field of system performance, architecture and algorithm development. HeShe will join the Navigation Department at their site Taufkirchen near Munich. With more than 80 engineers and 20 years of experience it is one of the leading expert groups in Europe for the development and implementation of the European satellite navigation systems EGNOS and Galileo. Tasks and Responsibilities Contribute to the development of system functions for time determination services Management of performance assessment and system modeling Analysis of system requirements and reflection into system design Development of software prototypes to test and tradeoff concepts and algorithms Data processing based on available Airbus evaluation software Application and algorithmic extension of Kalman Filter for parameter estimation. Key Tasks and Responsibilities EGNOS is a satellite based European augmentation system for GPS signals and the upcoming European Navigation system Galileo. Currently the next generation EGNOS V3 is under development. In this context you will have the following responsibilities Performing Validation and Verification of algorithm functions and Implementing them in programming language C Supporting integration of developed SW Contributing to test activities and detailed data investigation Supporting the algorithm performance qualification process Contributing to definition of test scenarios, test conditions, execution of test and reporting to verify the PCF Break down and allocation of navigation requirements functional and performance to the PCF Subsystems PCF is responsible to generate GPS and Galileo satellite orbit and clock corrections and bounds Maintaining existing tools supporting generation of qualification credits Generating and maintaining the requirements verification matrix and the traceability report, and related documentation. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience Master Degree in Engineering Several years of experience in the aerospace industry and IT Informations Systems Experience in developing algorithm for satellite navigation is required Demonstrated experience in documentation for system concepts, test reports, software development is required Profound knowledge of data processing and programming using C, Python, Matlab is required Experience with satellite navigation systems architecture and applications Demonstrated experience in SBASEGNOS and GNSS system architecture and performances Demonstrated experience in system verification, and in associated processes and tools e.g.DOORS, RQM Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of the German language is an advantage.
