An exciting prospect has become available for a Galileo Flight Operations Engineer to monitor and control the overall preparation and the execution of the Galileo operation activities. The successful candidate will assist the Galileo Constellation Operations Unit HSOOGC in the coordinating of the definition, preparation, testing, validation and implementation of the Galileo constellation operations as required to meet the overall Galileo endusers needs. Typical tasks and responsibilities will include Followup of the Spacecraft design and constellation operation engineering activities. Followup the impact of the GCS and GMS design on the constellation operations engineering activities. Coordination, followup and guidance on the constellation preparation, testing, validation campaigns and execution activities in the GCCs, in particular for the areas that impact Galileo enduser services provision. Monitoring the performance of the space segment infrastructure and participation in Anomaly Review Boards and closure of the associated actions. Coordination of the different parties participating in the constellation operations, related operations reviews and progress meetings. All applicants require significant engineering experience of spacecraft flightconstellation operation related activities along with experience of managerial tasks e.g. managing spacecraft operations. A proven experience in a commercialindustrial environment andor experience related to flightconstellation operations in the Galileo project GIOVE, IOV would be considered advantageous. Candidates should have a University degree or equivalent in Electric or Electronic Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or Telecommunications Engineering. Applicants will be expected to undergo security clearance. This role will involve travel to Holland, Italy and other European destinations.
