Global Support Network Engineer, IP United States Manassas, Virginia Your Job As the Global Support Engineer, I, IP you will be the first point of contact in the SES Global Services Network Operations team providing support to our customers both internally and externally. You will be responsible for the technical fault resolution of IP infrastructure comprising of switches, routers, firewalls, and modems that cover the entire service path along with service layers built over the infrastructure MPLS, SDWAN, BGP, etc.. You will work closely with Level2 IP Engineers to further develop and maintain enhancements in processes and tools to improve operational efficiency. Your Responsibilities Fault isolation through events and trends from multiple systems to diagnose and restore customer services, caued by IP services related interruptions or failures Fault detection and identification using Networking IP guidelines and work instructions set forth by SES engineering teams Take ownership of customer incidents and complaints through to resolution or escalation to Level 2 Review incidents with senior team members to ensure consistency and technical completion Update records clearly and concisely, following standards and processes. Provide prompt and accurate feedback to customers Ability to articulate complex technical issues in business terms, and explain customer impact Excellent troubleshooting and resolution skills on IP services and infrastructure, with working knowledge on Satcom RF Your Competencies Customer Service Troubleshooting Flexibility Your Profile Required Bachelors Degree in Network Engineering or similar field required Ability to work 12hour rotating shift schedule, nights, weekends, and holidays Preferred Juniper andor Cisco certifications JNCIA, JNCIS, CCNA Understanding of telecommunications satellite technologies and systems ITIL Foundation certification Whats in it for you?
