RHEA is currently recruiting a Ground Stations Operations Engineer to support the Ground Stations and External Interfaces GSEI team within the RSO division at our clients premises in Darmstadt, Germany. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Longterm planning and shortterm scheduling of the operational usage of the ground stations to support both the needs of the Flight Operations Division FLO and Ground Stations engineering team Interface with project teams for the implementation of system upgrades to support major operations projects and major activities described in the Operational System MidTerm Evolution Plan. This will include ground station changes required to support major space segment evolutions Interfacing with the ground stations maintenance teams and industry representatives to ensure optimised performance by the ground stations, including participating in the definition, specification and implementation of any changes Planning and coordination of upgrades, repairs and evolutions with the engineering teams and FLO division Organising the validation of these upgrades, repairs and evolutions with the Controller Teams Definition and maintenance of ground station operations procedures and operations guides Maintaining operational ground stations databases Investigation into anomalies, their documentation, classification and correctionmitigation, participation in associated Anomaly Review Boards Provision of training, through production and presentation of written materials, practical demonstrations and presentations, to other members of the Operations Department Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory University degree in a relevant technical discipline or the equivalent ground stations experience At least five years experience in ground stations TTC operations in support of multiple Geostationary GEO andor Low Earth Orbit LEO spacecraft At least five years experience in a realtime 247 spacecraft operations environment, ideally in an earth observation environment Excellent interpersonal and coordination skills The following skills would be highly desirable Major upgrades or evolutions of operational ground stations Defining and implementing the verification and validation of ground stations Interfaces between ground stations and ground segments Firstline hardware and software failure diagnosis and correction Baseband operation and configuration How to Apply Looking to take your career to the next level?
