SYDERAL SWISS designs and produces onboard electronic equipment for space applications. We have participated in more than 50 successful missions, for customers such as ESA, NASA, Thales Alenia Space and Airbus Defense Space. Our extensive references in space programs made us one of the main electronic equipment suppliers in Europe for satellite payloads and platforms. To develop our innovative products, SYDERAL SWISS has endtoend engineering capabilities in digital and analog electronics design as well as embedded software development, and we produce our electronic equipment in our cleanroom production facilities, qualified to space standards. SYDERAL SWISS also has a subsidiary in Poland, SYDERAL Polska Z.O.O., which offers electronic engineering services for space applications. In order to reinforce our team, we are searching for a Head of Engineering mf Your mission Responsible for the Engineering department composed of more than twenty Engineers and Experts, you manage and develop your team in terms of competencies and workload. On the basis of needs defined by the Head of Programs, you allocated necessary resources to the different project teams. You support Experts in the definition and deployment of specific engineering processes and promote project risk management approach within the engineering team. Definitely continuous improvement oriented, you encourage experience capitalization. Concretely, you develop an internal culture of openness and facilitate experience exchange between Engineers working at similar positions. You partner the Commercial Department in preliminary commercial contacts with customers, taking part to the technical discussions preceding new projects kickoff. Furthermore, you organize your department in order to allow your team to contribute to the proposal process analysis of customers specifications and technical definition, budgeting and global consistency verification. You cooperate closely with Head of Programs, in order to take into consideration customer and business expectations and have also regular contacts with your counterpart at Syderal Polska in order to build a common understanding of resources needs and availability. As well, you are responsible for deploying the strategic vision developed by the Management, concretely defining action plans and targets within your department. Your profile Holder of a Master degree in engineering or relevant scientific discipline, you also developed continuously your management skills and leadership. You show an obvious ease with human contacts, as well as a real interest in developing multidisciplinary skills. Openness and team orientation are part of your personality features, and you value other peoples ideas trying to build collective innovative solutions resulting of synergy effects. Thanks to a successful experience of minimum 10 years within a similar position in a hightech environment, you built a strong technical background that allows you to understand implications and specificities of complex equipment. You are also familiar with economic and financial aspects of such a role. Oral and written fluency in English and French is required for this position.
