We are currently looking for an IT Network Engineer to support our customer in Germany. IT Network Engineer Key Tasks and Responsibilities Our customer is a European organisation providing weather and climaterelated satellite data, images and products for its users. You will have the following responsibilities Design, operate and maintain the active components of the Network Infrastructure Liaise with external parties for the operation and maintenance of the Phone System Liaise with external parties for the operation and maintenance of the Security System Firewalls, VPN and RSA Infrastructure Operate and maintain the Technical rooms Maintain network cable infrastructure fibre and copper Provide physical network connectivity to IT equipment Operate and maintain the KVM system Maintain System Design and Operations documentation Provide user 2nd and 3rd level support for service requests and incidents Contribute to the procurement of information technology services, systems and components Act as interface with hardware and software suppliers regarding procurement, warranty and maintenance issues Monitor and manage the Infrastructure and Network monitoring systems. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree in Information Technology or comparable discipline Cisco CCNP certification or several years of experience in an operational environment Network design skills using Cisco Nexus 7000 series switches Good knowledge of and experience in operation and maintenance of Cisco switches, network cabling infrastructure, Firewall and VPN Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including MSVisio Experience with Palo Alto Firewalls, Juniper VPN, WLAN Infrastructure, Big IP F5 Load Balancer, Cisco Works, DNS, VOIP systems and ITIL would be an asset Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
