Cotton yarn prices are staying very firm on the international market, after cotton prices have bottomed out in India. The high level of cotton prices has depressed yarn production in the first months of the new fiscal year. Our review of Indian yarn prices covers the domestic and export markets, including carded and combed cotton, poly-cotton, poly-viscose, 100% polyester and 100% viscose. Yarn prices are compared with fiber prices offering latest trends in spinners' margins. Market fundamentals are available on a monthly basis, including production and exports.
