Cotton prices are now more clearly falling in India, in line with the seasonal rise of cotton arrivals from the new crop. Spun yarn prices are slightly dropping, as a consequence. The decline remains limited with cotton prices expected staying firm. Our review of Indian yarn prices covers the domestic and export markets, including carded and combed cotton, poly-cotton, poly-viscose, 100% polyester and 100% viscose. Major yarn production centres are covered with Tirupur (Tamil Nadu), Bhiwandi (Maharashtra) and Ludhiana (Punjab). Yarn prices are compared with fiber prices offering latest trends of spinners' margins. Market fundamentals are available on a monthly basis, including production and exports.
