India Yarn Prices: Domestic and Export Markets (Weekly Report)
2018-12-05 20:25:09| EmergingTextiles.com
Cotton yarn prices could further drop in the coming period in India, as demand is reportedly weak from domestic and foreign processors. The rebound of the rupee has depressed the cotton yarn exports, as reflected by September data. The delay in cotton arrivals from the new crop could possibly offset the weakness in demand and maintain fiber prices at currently high levels. Our review of Indian yarn prices covers the domestic and export markets, including carded and combed cotton, poly-cotton, poly-viscose, 100% polyester and 100% viscose. Major yarn production centres are covered with Tirupur (Tamil Nadu), Bhiwandi (Maharashtra) and Ludhiana (Punjab). Yarn prices are compared with fiber prices offering latest trends of spinners' margins. Market fundamentals are available on a monthly basis, including production and exports.
