India Yarn Prices: Domestic and Export Markets (Weekly Report)

2019-01-16 17:25:45| EmergingTextiles.com

Yarn prices have been slightly raised on India's domestic market whereas yarn export prices were further lowered over a decline of the rupee and a lack of demand from foreign markets, including China. India's cotton yarn exports have been very strong in the first months of the fiscal year before plunging at the end of 2018, as reflected by latest trade data available in our report. Our review of Indian yarn prices covers the domestic and export markets, including carded and combed cotton, poly-cotton, poly-viscose, 100% polyester and 100% viscose. Major yarn production centres are covered with Tirupur (Tamil Nadu), Bhiwandi (Maharashtra) and Ludhiana (Punjab). Yarn prices are compared with fiber prices offering latest trends of spinners' margins. Market fundamentals are available on a monthly basis, including production and exports.
