Cotton yarn prices have further decreased in the last week in India, over continued weakness in demand. Exports of cotton yarns have dramatically declined in the second quarter of 2019, being halved overall and plunging by more than 80% to China. Our weekly review of Indian yarn prices covers the domestic and export markets, including carded and combed cotton, poly-cotton, poly-viscose, 100% polyester, and 100% viscose. Major yarn production centers are covered with Tirupur (Tamil Nadu), Bhiwandi (Maharashtra) and Ludhiana (Punjab). Yarn prices are compared with fiber prices, and offering the latest trends of spinners' margins.
