Cotton and poly-cotton yarn prices have slightly dropped in the last week in India, in line with a decline in fiber prices. Authorities intend to significantly support cotton fiber prices in the looming new season, which should negatively affect the domestic yarn industry. Our weekly review of Indian yarn prices covers the domestic and export markets, including carded and combed cotton, poly-cotton, poly-viscose, 100% polyester, and 100% viscose. Major yarn production centers are covered with Tirupur (Tamil Nadu), Bhiwandi (Maharashtra) and Ludhiana (Punjab).
