Cotton yarn prices have continued to decline in the last seven days in India, depressed by the significant fall lof exports, especially to China. By contrast, cotton prices could be supported by an expected surge in shipments to Pakistan, where a new cotton deficit is expected. Our weekly review of Indian yarn prices covers the domestic and export markets, including carded and combed cotton, poly-cotton, poly-viscose, 100% polyester, and 100% viscose. Major yarn production centers are covered with Tirupur (Tamil Nadu), Bhiwandi (Maharashtra) and Ludhiana (Punjab).
