Cotton yarn prices have stayed firm in the last days in India, whereas poly-cotton and poly-viscose have declined. Yarn export prices are not yet competitive, but sustainability should soon prevail with Indian suppliers taking advantage of the latest technology. Our weekly review of Indian yarn prices covers the domestic and export markets, including carded and combed cotton, poly-cotton, poly-viscose, 100% polyester, and 100% viscose. Major yarn production centers are covered with Tirupur (Tamil Nadu), Bhiwandi (Maharashtra) and Ludhiana (Punjab).
