Yarn prices have fallen further in India, where cotton use could drop by 15% in the current season, as a result of the sharp decline in demand. With production surging in the meantime, cotton and yarn prices could fall to significantly lower levels. Our weekly review of Indian yarn prices covers the domestic and export markets, including carded and combed cotton, poly-cotton, poly-viscose, 100% polyester, and 100% viscose. Major yarn production centers are covered with Tirupur (Tamil Nadu), Bhiwandi (Maharashtra) and Ludhiana (Punjab). Yarn prices are compared with fiber prices, and offering the latest trends of spinners' margins.
