HE Space is a successful international space company. For over 30 years, we have been supporting our customers with qualified experts in the field of engineering, science and administration. We are currently looking for an Instrument Processing Chain Engineer for EPSSG to support our customer in Germany. Instrument Processing Chain Engineer Key Tasks and Responsibilities You will have the following two key tasks and responsibilities Definition of overall System aspects for endtoend instrument functional chains, i.e. involving the space segment satellites as well as the ground segment, the latter consisting of the data acquisition systems, monitoring and control systems, data processing chains and product dissemination facilities. Definition and maintenance of processing specifications Product Generation Specifications PGSs, Product Format Specifications PFSs and Auxiliary Data Specifications ADS Development of reference processors that implement the functionalities defined in the processing and algorithms specifications Development of the operational processors Endtoend E2E performance requirements Review and assess space segment and instrument documents Support the implementation, verification and validation of the endtoend system. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree in the domain of engineering, science or equivalent System engineering of EO ground segment data processing systems Analyses of a EO Systems combined space and ground segment Verifying and validating complex realtime EO data processing systems Knowledge of imaging andor sounding instruments Mission performance analysis, budgeting and verification Algorithms specifications Algorithms Theoretical Baseline Document ATBD E2E performance requirements spectral, radiometric and geometric requirements Preparation of Instrument CalibrationValidation plans Level 1 and Level 2 products Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
