For the location in Darmstadt, Germany we are looking for a Java Development Oracle Administration Support at EUMETSAT. Tasks The key person is expected to support mainly two key tasks. It is foreseen, that the detailed key tasks will include as a minimum Java EE Application Development Design, implement, maintain, test and deliver applications for all services based on Java, Java EE, Oracle Database and Oracle Web Center Content Management System following the full application development and maintenance cycle Oracle Administration Install, configure, monitor, cluster, optimise and administer Oracle Web Center Content WCC and Site Studio for External Applications SSXA Servers as well as Oracle Application Servers WebLogic Glassfish used by web applications, Website and Intranet. Furthermore the key person is expected to support the following tasks, but to a much lesser extent than the key tasks. It is foreseen, that the detailed tasks will include as a minimum Oracle Database Administration Coordinate lowlevel Oracle DBA tasks with external DBA support company which is taking care of tasks like installing, upgrading, patching, clustering, monitoring and backing up of databases Administer, optimise and configure Oracle Databases highlevel DBA tasks Support Oracle Database design schema generation, analysis, data migration and Report generation Implement and maintain scripts andor procedures where applicable for the automated andor controlled execution of the above activities Very exceptional, install and setup Oracle Databases COTS Application Maintenance Specify, customize, integrate and maintain clientserver based COTS systems and document the customisation and integration in the EUMETSAT environment e.g. Book Library System, Org Chart System, Image Library System PHP Application Maintenance Maintain, test and deliver PHP based applications General Tasks Provide second level support for existing applications, systems and services Gather and document user and system requirements and constraints Document the tasks and deliverables according to EUMETSAT working practices Perform the related quality assurance, configuration and change management activities Contribute to project planning and reporting. Essential requirements In addition to having a university degree in computer science, software engineering or equivalent, the consultant shall have as a prerequisite For Java EE Development At least 3 years professional experience in the design, implementation, integration and testing of Website and Intranet applications using Java EE and Oracle databases At least 3 years professional experience in developing with JSFFacelets, JSP, Servlets At least 2 years professional experience in developing with JPA Hibernate, TopLink Knowledge of XHTML, CSS, Ajax, JavaScript, XML, XSTL Knowledge of Oracle SQL For Oracle Administration At least 3 years professional experience in Oracle WebCenter Content 11g installation, configuration, administration and operation At least 3 years professional experience in Weblogic 11g and Glassfish installation, configuration, administration, clustering and operation Experience in integrating applications in Oracle WebCenter Content 11g For General Tasks Knowledge of Windows Proven experience in formal documentation, preferably in a ISO 9000 certified Project and service environment High degree of autonomy, good personal communication skills oral and writing and strong customeroriented approach to interact with EUMETSAT personnel. In addition to the above requirements, experience knowledge in the following areas shall be considered a distinct advantage For Oracle Database Administration Professional experience in Oracle 11g database administration Knowledge of Oracle PLSQL For COTS Application Maintenance Professional experience in integrating and customising COTS systems For PHP Application Maintenance Experience in maintaining PHP applications For General Tasks Experience in integrating systems with Web ServicesSOAP, LDAPAD Experience with reporting tools e.g. Jasper Reports, Crystal Reports, SAP BI Knowledge of IIS Knowledge of UML and Design Patterns Knowledge of ITIL, in particular with respect to change and configuration Management fundamentals and principles Other Information Start date is 1st January 2015 Fluency in English is mandatory Candidates must be an EU citizen or possess a valid German work and residence visa
