Materials and Processes Project Engineer Deadline for applications 22042019 Client and Location The Bremen office of our client is the industrial centre of excellence for human spaceflight, launchers and space robotics in Europe. Key projects here are contributions towards the International Space Station ISS, the development of rocket stages and in the area of robotics the gentle and safe landing of spacecraft. Job Description For our client we are recruiting a Materials and Processes Project Engineer to join their location in Bremen, Germany. The jobholder will join a highly motivated team supporting the various projects related to space transportation and other business. Tasks and Responsibilities Evaluate mechanical parts, materials and processes for their usability in the different projects Analyze system specifications regarding requirements on mechanical parts, materials and processes Establish specifications compliant with project requirements Elaborate test methods for materials and processes Analyze specifications, standards, manufacturing and test specifications to demonstrate compliance with project related requirements Implement approval cycles for mechanical parts, materials and processes MP control boards Approve MP based design release Evaluate acceptancecertification for manufacturers and suppliers Participation in root cause analysis and handling of nonconformances Participation in the alert notification and management process. Requirements Bachelors Degree in Aerospace Engineering Experience in working in controlled, high technology environment, ideally Aerospace or Defence Proven background in materials and processes Experience in quality tools and methods is appreciated, e.g. APQP Detailed knowledge of MsOffice Detailed knowledge of SAP Fluent in English and basic level of German Good communication and analytical skills Openminded, strong personality Multidisciplinary team working Transnational awareness.
