We are currently looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to support our customer in Germany. Mechanical Design Engineer Key Tasks and Responsibilities As part of the Mechanical Design Office, you will have the following responsibilities Mechanical configuration of satellites, payloads and mechanisms Development of mechanical designs for satellites and instrument structures Development of lightweight structure designs in particular highly stable structures Employing new design concepts and materials such as composites fibrereinforced and ceramics Development and documentation of mechanical designs under consideration of functional, material and manufacturing requirements and constraints Installation and integration studies on satellite and subsystem levels Hardware procurement and manufacturing support Generation of product definition drawings and documentation for bids and projects. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant proved work experience Design Development fundamentals Design process Design tools, preferably CATIA V5 Design for Assembly and for Manufacturing Materials and Mechanics Fundamentals MecaTherm Spacecraft Architecture Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of the German language is an advantage.
