Position Reference 1072 On behalf of ESA, we are currently looking for a Mechanical Design Office Engineer to work in its Site ESTEC in the city of Noordwijk, The Netherlands. Please note that this position is a fixedterm contract. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Design of electromechanical test instrumentation in coordination with colleagues of the Electronic Design Office. Support to the maintenance and upgrade of the virtual testing facilities available in the section e.g. Virtual share testing and Ray tracing optical model of the Large Space Simulator. Understanding of IR measurements and handson capabilities in integrating and testing measurement systems Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory Masters Degree or PhD in mechanical engineering, with at least 4 years of relevant work experience. Proven knowledge and familiarity with CATIA and NASTRANPatran. Previous experience working on simulations or mechanical design for spacecraft design testing.
