We are currently looking for a Mechanical Design System Engineer to support our customer in Germany. Mechanical Design System Engineer Key Tasks and Responsibilities Our customer is a European leader in exciting and technologically sophisticated projects in the areas of space transportation and satellites. In this role you will have the following responsibilities Mechanical configuration of satellites, payloads and mechanisms Development of mechanical designs for satellites and instrument structures Development of lightweight structure designs in particular highly stable structures Employing new design concepts and materials such as composites fibrereinforced and ceramics Development and documentation of mechanical designs under consideration of functional, material and manufacturing requirements and constraints Installation and integration studies on satellite and subsystem levels Hardware procurement and manufacturing support Generation of product definition drawings and documentation for bids and projects. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree or equivalent in aerospace engineering Several years experience in a similar role Experience with and knowledge of Design Development fundamentals Design process tools Design for Assembly Design for Manufacturing Digital Mock Up DMU Materials Fundamentals MechanicalThermal Spacecraft Architecture Mechanics Fundamentals Optical Instrument Fundamentals Optomechanic Fundamentals Fluency in English and German is mandatory knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
