RHEA Group is currently recruiting an MCS Engineer to reinforce the current service for ESA flying missions this exciting role will allow you to have varied tasks, and to be supporting different projects. The position will be based in ESOC premises in Darmstadt, Germany. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include For the Aeolus MCS covering in particular Facilitate maintenance of system until Endofmission including support to FCT. Preparation and execution of endofmission activities. Facilitate handover of dataachieves to Long term preservation after end of mission. For the project EGOSCC Adoption for EO missions Support the above project in the development of Core EO features in EGOSCC Support the shadow operational camping with SWARM mission Support the preparation for migration of future EO missions to EGOSCC. Support for to evolution of EOMCS systems Support to reviews Support to requirement engineering for future missions Support to problem investigations of current flying missions Support to critical operations SVTs, LEOPS etc Support to RD activities relevant to EO missions Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory An indepth knowledge of operational EO MCS system, and ideally a complementary knowledge of S2K SLES11 based MCS systems A background in support of critical phases like LEOPsDeorbits for EO missions. A knowledge of EGOSCC and EGSCC A basic knowledge of CDM and EGOSCC tailoring A first experience with ESOC SDE, DevOps and Environment An experience supporting critical operations LEOP, SVTs etc preferably in the role as Software Coordinator A knowledge of communication protocols used with spacecraft PUS, CFDP A knowledge of EO missions operational concepts.
